A subtle, well-integrated smokiness recalls lightly charred wood and roasted nuts. Vanilla and a hint of cotton candy gently round off the nose.

Palate: Creamy and full-bodied with a beautiful balance of fruit and spice. Sweet strawberries, dark plums, and caramelized almonds meet a subtle sherry sweetness. A gentle spice of cinnamon and black pepper develops slowly, while fine vanilla and oak aromas provide depth. The smoke remains in the background, adding a light, dry note to the taste.

Finish: Medium to long with a lingering berry sweetness. The fruity notes of dark berries and dried figs slowly fade, accompanied by white pepper, gentle oak spice, and a hint of dark chocolate. A fine trace of smoke lingers subtly in the background.

How the whisky is made

This whisky is primarily made from malted barley. Since the barley was dried over peat, this Glasgow Distillery brings delicious smoky notes. The flavor notes come through strongly and unfold their full potential at 59.8% ABV.

The Glasgow Distillery is true to its color, as no artificial coloring was added – the rich hue developed naturally through cask maturation. You hold a 2018 vintage in your hands. It was bottled in 2024. Thus, the aging period was only 6 years. This gives it a somewhat unruly character. However, it offers you the opportunity to experience more of the pure distillery style.
