The whisky was made from malted barley and water. The Glenallachie whisky is not smoky. The single malt whisky was bottled at strong 55.9% ABV. Therefore, the Glenallachie shows its full potential here.
No additives were used in this whisky. The intense color came solely from the cask maturation. The vintage is from 2011. It was bottled in 2024. The maturation period was a beautiful 12 years. The long contact with the wood gives the Glenallachie its beautiful aromas.
Since only one cask was bottled, the number of bottles is limited. There are a total of 765 bottles of this whisky. However, it is not guaranteed that a Glenallachie will last forever.
