The Dingle Single Malt Irish Whiskey is the first standard release from the small Irish Dingle Distillery. This small craft distillery is located on the eponymous Dingle Peninsula in the southwest of the green island. Here, the excellent single malt whiskey is produced according to traditional methods. Triple distilled in small copper pot stills, this whiskey then matures exclusively in first-fill casks. This way, a rich array of aromas is infused into the whiskey. After years of slow cask maturation, it was finally blended at 61% first fill Pedro Ximénez sherry casks and 39% ex-bourbon barrels.
This results in a delicious aroma composition of garden fruits, caramel, vanilla, and fine spices. Previously, Dingle whiskies were released in batches, in small quantities. Due to the distillery's limited production capacity, this excellent single malt is also limited to 50,000 bottles worldwide for the time being. However, the Dingle Single Malt is intended to be permanently available, so that fans of the distillery can enjoy a Dingle whiskey with a consistent cask composition in the long term.
