After a twelve-month maturation in fresh oak barrels in Glasgow, it gains its unique aroma from the addition of fresh pineapple, orange, and ginger, combined with the spicy notes of cocoa nibs, allspice, tonka bean, and black pepper.

Glazgo distilerija yra pirmoji nepriklausoma salyklinio viskio gamykla Glazge per daugiau nei 100 metų. Liamas Hughesas, Maikas Haywardas ir Ianas McDougallas įkūrė Glazgo distilerijos kompaniją 2012 metais ir iš karto pradėjo gaminti savo giną, pavadintą Makar Gin, kuris 2014 metais pasirodė rinkoje ir šiandien eksportuojamas į visą pasaulį. Distilerija buvo įkurta prieš Clydeside distileriją, kurios planavimo etapas prasidėjo anksčiau, tačiau dėl statybos problemų buvo baigtas tik 2017 metais. Distilerija jau viršijo minimalų brandinimo laikotarpį su keliais statiniais ir išleido savo pirmuosius butelius.
