However, this Amrut variant was made with Scottish peat malt. As one can imagine, the climate and oak barrels in India create a very special foundation for the whisky, which matures to excellent quality within them.

Although there is a more intense evaporation of alcohol during maturation in the humid, warm air, they are already very mature and complex at a young age. Currently, the son of the distillery founder, Shri Neelakanta Rao, continues his father's work and successfully produces the Amrut Peated according to old traditions.
