Aroma: Vanilla pods, marshmallows, fresh pineapple mixed with sweet limes.
Taste: Light and delicate with caramel sweetness. Again citrus and pineapple combined with a hint of pepper.
Finish: Clean and light.
Tomatin 12 Years, 43% Vol.:
Aroma: Spicy combination of nuts and herbs. Malty and aromatic.
Taste: Sweet and fruity, lots of caramel and nut notes. Intense but surprisingly mild for a Highlander.
Finish: Ginger-like spiciness, fading gently with a delicate smoke.
Tomatin 14 Port Wood, 46% Vol.:
Aroma: Full port aromas: sweet apples, caramel, honey, ripe berries, and a hint of dark chocolate.
Taste: Complex with many fruits (peach, mango, and plum) and nuts.
Finish: Mild and fruity.

With this fantastic miniature set from Tomatin, you can not only get to know the Highland distillery near Inverness better. The set also serves as an ideal introduction to the topic of malt whisky. Here you have the opportunity to explore three whiskies with different ages and different cask maturations. The Tomatin Legacy has no age statement, making it particularly exciting. Compare it with the depth of the 12-year-old and 14-year-old Tomatins. You can also taste the different casks used for the maturation of the single malt whisky. Especially the Tomatin 14 Years with Port wine finish shows distinctly fruitier notes and dark berry aromas compared to the other two Tomatin variants. The Tomatin 12 Years presents a balanced profile with a beautiful harmony of fruit and vanilla due to the use of bourbon and sherry casks. The youngest in the group, the Tomatin Legacy, was aged in casks that previously contained American bourbon and in completely fresh American casks, known as Virgin Oak casks.
