Rum was distilled from molasses on a modern column still and on a traditional pot still. Therefore, the Takamaka Extra Noir is light and elegant, yet surprisingly full-bodied.

These distillates were blended and infused with wood from ex-bourbon casks and French oak. This creates wonderful aromas of caramel and vanilla in your nosing glass. Finally, the rum aged in freshly charred 2nd fill rum casks, which had previously been filled with high-quality sugarcane rum for 10 years. This gives the rum an exciting additional flavor dimension and a fine oak spice.
