How the Whisky is Made

This whisky is primarily made from malted barley. Since the barley was dried over peat, this Peatside brings rustic smoky notes. The flavor notes are beautifully intense and reveal their full potential at 50% ABV. Experience the expected vanilla and caramel notes that the whisky has drawn from aging in bourbon casks.

No artificial coloring was added. The noble color came solely from the cask aging. The vintage is from 2015. It was bottled in 2022. Therefore, the aging period was just 6 years. The whisky still has a few rough edges that a longer time in the cask would have softened. Excitement is guaranteed!

This Peatside whisky does not come directly from the owner but was selected and bottled by Murray McDavid. Here, Murray McDavid has shown a good hand in cask selection. There are a total of 1867 bottles of this whisky. However, it is not guaranteed that a Peatside will last forever.
