River Rock is committed to sustainability. In production and packaging, all plastic is avoided. The beautiful bottles, which fit wonderfully in the hand, are made from 'wonky glass'. Wonky means something like crooked or not quite perfect. Wonky glass is made from surplus glass in the glass production process when switching from one glass color to another. Normally, this glass would be discarded, but at River Rock, it finds a new, aesthetically pleasing home. Thus, River Rock not only uses resources efficiently but also gives the bottles a unique touch. Furthermore, River Rock supports the Scottish John Muir Trust. So, with every bottle of whisky, a tree is planted in Scotland. A wonderful and commendable initiative.
