This whisky comes from Benriach in Scotland. More specifically, it comes from Speyside. Theoretically, Speyside would be part of the Highlands. However, with its delicate and elegantly floral style, the distilleries along the River Spey have established themselves so distinctly that Speyside is considered an independent whisky region.

The main ingredient of the whisky is malted barley. The Benriach is not smoky. The whisky is bottled at 46% ABV. This allows the aromas to truly shine. Thanks to the maturation in bourbon casks, toffee and caramel play a role in the bouquet of this whisky. Nuts, tannins, and dried fruits are also present. Together, these aromas create a balanced flavor profile. No additives were used in this whisky. The rich color came solely from the cask maturation. The aging period was a solid 12 years. This time in oak casks ensures the balanced aromas of this bottling.
