About the creation of this whisky
The whisky was made from malted barley and water. The Ardnahoe whisky is strongly smoky. Beautifully intense aromas come to the fore here and unfold their full potential at 50% ABV.
From the bourbon cask, sweet vanilla notes enter the whisky. Pimento, dried fruits, and coffee notes are imparted to the Ardnahoe by the sherry cask. The combination of these cask influences creates a balanced overall picture.
No caramel coloring was added. The honey-golden hue occurred completely naturally. The aging period was 5 years - which is already longer than necessary for a first release. While it is still less complex than older whiskies, you have the perfect opportunity to explore the house style of the new distillery.
