According to Alasdair (Ally) Stevenson, one of the founders of Turntable Blending House, Track 04 emerged from a fascination with old grain whiskies and a commitment to push the boundaries of blended Scotch. This delicious drop impresses with a particularly harmonious cask composition. The carefully selected combination of whiskies from 1st fill bourbon, red wine, Madeira- and Marsala casks delivers a great tasting experience.
In the aroma, boiled sugar candies from the Strathclyde 1st fill bourbon barrels blend with the warm notes of banana bread from the red wine casks of Invergordon. This seductive bouquet is complemented by grated orange peel from the Marsala and salted caramel popcorn from the Madeira barrels, which the Cameronbridge distillery reserved for this blend. The impressions are rounded off by the fresh notes of cut grass from the Linkwood 1st fill bourbon barrels, which give the whisky wonderful depth and complexity.
This unique drop is limited to about 2000 bottles and was bottled at perfect drinking strength of 46% ABV and without color additives and chill filtration.
