This is also proven by the Single Malt Left-Field. The star in the whisky sky is an accessible all-rounder and successor to the blend Two-Fold. The delicious single malt matures 100 percent in former red wine barrels made of French oak – for an intense and spicy mouthfeel with delicate wine aromas. The barrels come from the leading Australian wine regions, Barossa and Yarra Valley. The charring of some of these barrels adds additional dimensions to the Left-Field. With its full-bodied, bright and dark fruit, as well as spicy oak notes, the Australian leaves plenty of room for individual enjoyment – whether neat, shaken, or stirred.

Starward Whisky is Australia through and through: The natural resources of its region, the culinary excellence of its hometown, and the unique climate are reflected in the whisky of the young distillery. Above all: Dark barley malt between pale and amber ale, aromatic dark brewing yeast, and only lightly charred or steamed barrels that were previously filled with celebrated red wines of the continent or Apera (Australian sherry). Starward fills its promising raw distillates into the wine-soaked barrels with a lower alcohol content, allowing for even more fruit notes and tannins to be imparted to the whisky.

Starward Whisky only needs three to four years in them for its fruity maturity. Responsible for this: the Melbourne climate. Far from any stereotypes, the port city is known for its constant weather changes and experiences 'four seasons in a day'. Bad for sunbathers, good for whisky: Due to the reactive climate, Starward's single malts interact intensely with the barrels after a short time. Starward calls this process elemental maturation. The result? Whiskies that you won't find anywhere else.
