The Jean Fillioux Cep D'or XO Selection is a Cognac from France. The Grande Champagne is the exact origin of this fine drop. The growing area is often referred to as Premier Cru. The Cognac is bottled at a pleasant 40% ABV, which contributes to the soft character of this release. This Jean Fillioux carries the label XO, which stands for extra old. This means the Cognac has aged for at least 6 years in oak barrels. Since 2018, the age limit has even been raised to 10 years. A true quality feature. Because you will notice - the longer a Cognac has aged, the better it becomes. Here you can already discover some noble Rancio aromas. Another sign of the quality of this Cognac: Cold filtration has been avoided. No caramel coloring has been added. The noble hue occurred completely naturally.
