The Glencadam is a whisky that is not smoky. The whisky is bottled at 46.0% ABV, allowing the aromas to truly shine. This Glencadam shows its color, as no artificial coloring was added – the rich hue came naturally through barrel aging. Another point to determine the quality of a whisky: if it has not undergone cold filtration – as is the case here. The aging period was a solid 10 years, giving the whisky enough time to develop a diverse aroma.
How to best serve the whisky
Even more affordable single malts like this Glencadam should be enjoyed neat. However, this whisky also works well in a cocktail like the White Boulevardier.
