Aroma: Subtle vanilla notes, juicy raisins, pronounced maple syrup notes, and the spicy scent of freshly roasted nuts rise from the nosing glass.
Palate: Vanilla sauce over red berry compote. Again, this unmistakable flavor of maple syrup drizzled over freshly baked pancakes and bitter dark chocolate notes.
Finish: Not as spicy deep as the palate suggests, a fleeting sweetness with light liqueur wine notes lingers.

A wonderfully intense bourbon that, after the typical aging period of at least two years in fresh American oak barrels, undergoes a secondary maturation in fruity-subtle former port wine barrels. These were Ruby Port casks made from French oak, in which the whiskey aged for three to six months. Therefore, the tannins from the French oak are relatively subtle. A wonderfully rounded straight bourbon from Kentucky.
