Aroma: Aromatic and light at the same time, fresh flower meadow and flower nectar rise to the nose, along with grainy sweetness and a hint of vanilla.
Taste: Creamy entry with black tea with milk, then beautiful caramel and again a floral sweetness. Fresh green apples also join on the palate.
Finish: Medium-long and clean with delicate oak and roasted grain.
Produkto aprašymas
The anCnoc 12 Year Old gets its name from Gaelic. 'An Cnoc' refers to the hill where the Knockdhu distillery is located, on Knock Hill. The enjoyment is enticingly light and malty in aroma, sweet with a hint of vanilla, making you crave the first sip. The sweetness remains, gaining a slight freshness and pleasant acidity from green apples. The anCnoc 12 Year Old is a pleasantly light whisky, ideal for serving as an aperitif or digestif.
AN CNOC 12 YEARS - Light and fresh like the Highlands
The distillery is essentially located right on the border between the whisky regions of Highlands and Speyside. Appropriately, anCnoc combines the typical characteristics of both regions. It is light and floral, like many Speyside malts, yet has a certain herbal spiciness, like many Highland whiskies. The 12-year-old anCnoc is a very light variant from the distillery. With a relatively low alcohol content of 40% ABV, the anCnoc 12 Year Old can be wonderfully enjoyed as an aperitif or summer whisky. It also serves as a sociable conclusion and a crowning touch to a good meal. The freshness and delicate hint of acidity leave no heavy taste on the palate, pleasantly long and enjoyable.
The Knockdhu Region
Fresh and clear like the wind in the Highlands, the anCnoc 12 Year Old is easy to drink. It is essentially fruity and mild with a touch of vanilla and flowers. At the Knockdhu whisky distillery, only two stills are used, and the annual production is accordingly limited. It is also offered in age categories of 16 and 21 years and can be purchased as a yearly release. It was built in 1893/94 by DCL, remained unproductive for many years, and was restarted in 1987. Since 1993, the single malt from the distillery has been marketed under the name An Cnoc.
