This Shinshu Mars is a single malt whisky from Japan. Few other countries are as synonymous with quality and attention to detail.
About the production of this whisky
The whisky is made from malted barley. The Shinshu Mars is a whisky that is not very smoky. It boasts a strong 50% ABV. Sweet vanilla notes come from the bourbon cask. Clove spice, dried fruit, and espresso notes are imparted to the Shinshu Mars through the sherry cask. The combination of different cask types creates a rounded bouquet. The whisky shows its color, as no artificial coloring was added – the beautiful hue developed naturally during cask aging. Another sign of the quality of this whisky: it has not undergone cold filtration.
