The Stauning Smoke Batch 1 from 2022 is a smoky whisky creation from the successful Danish distillery. Every production step, including malting on their own malting floors, is done on-site at Stauning. The peat and heather used for this whisky also come from the region. The unique combination of these two materials creates a distinct aromatic smoky note. Both the combination and the use of local peat sources are extremely rare. This is a true whisky with 'terroir', with an authentic local connection. The spirit for this whisky was distilled in fire-heated copper pot stills.
