Aber Falls Small Batch Welsh Gin Rhubarb & Ginger

Aroma: Sweet and fresh with zesty citrus notes and a bitter hint of fresh rhubarb. Oily juniper aromas add their spice and are supported by ginger and a touch of black pepper.

Taste: Perfectly balanced with a fine spiciness and rhubarb cake on one side and resinous juniper aromas on the other side.

Finish: Warming and with a hint of ginger in the aftertaste.

The Welsh Gin Rhubarb & Ginger comes directly from the Welsh distillery Aber Falls. Located in Abergwyngregyn at the foot of the Aber Falls waterfall, right on the border of Snowdonia National Park, the distillery produces its spirits in a picturesque setting. The main business of the young distillery will be whisky in the future, but none has been released yet. The waiting time is wonderfully bridged with exquisite gin and liqueur creations that not only show great attention to detail but also a connection to the homeland. Together with local institutions, such as the Treborth Botanical Garden, the recipes for the first spirits have been developed.

The Rhubarb & Ginger Gin, with its classic spiciness, evokes warm gatherings with family. Even though the thought immediately brings to mind the contemplative Christmas season, this gin can be wonderfully enjoyed not only on cold days. With its pleasantly sharp freshness, it can also provide a bit of refreshment for hot summer evenings. Here, it is also recommended as an excellent cocktail base. Try it, for example, on ice with cranberry juice and the fresh juice of a squeezed lime.
