Nosing: Sweet berries, cherries, and a fine smoke reminiscent of scorched heather. A fresh breeze of sea air carries spicy rye notes and herbs from Provence, along with meaty grilling aromas. Then dried apricots and candied fruits.
Palate: Very impressive and intense with black pepper, cinnamon, anise, and juicy blackberries as well as black currants. All framed by heather and fine wood smoke. Accompanied by salty toffee, caramelized popcorn, and black cherries.
Finish: Quite long with ripe fruits, licorice, a hint of salt, subtle smoke, and light dryness.

For the limited special release, the established Isle of Raasay Single Malt has been bottled at undiluted cask strength. Experience the island whisky at its most natural.
A delicate veil of smoke weaves through the sweet aroma of red fruits, followed by spicy rye notes, meaty roasted aromas, and delicious dried fruits. Take a small sip and let it rest on your tongue for a moment. Enjoy maximum flavor with blackberries, cherries, apricots, heather, subtle smoke, and spices. Short-term pepper notes transition to cinnamon, delicious anise, vanilla, salted toffee, and sweet caramel. In the long finish, predominantly fruity impressions remain along with a hint of licorice and pleasant oak spice.
The whisky was produced according to the innovative cask recipe of the island distillers from smoky and non-smoky distillates, which matured separately along Raasay's coast in three types of casks: First Fill Rye Whiskey Casks, Virgin Chinkapin Oak Casks, and First Fill Bordeaux Red Wine Casks. The contents of these six cask types were finally blended into a multi-layered drop with elegance and strong character. If the natural alcohol content of 61.3% ABV is too high for you, simply add a few drops of still water to your drink in the glass. This way, you can enjoy your special achievement even longer. The Special Release was bottled with its natural color and without chill filtration in 8400 bottles. Each one, with its distinctive design, is a striking eye-catcher in any home bar.
