With the 'Third Crop' of the Harvest Edition, Lochlea's 'Seasonal Releases' will also have a new bottling in 2024, offering you a full-bodied Lowland whisky with exceptionally beautiful fruit notes. The series includes limited seasonal bottlings. Each of them showcases Lochlea Single Malt in a different light. The Harvest Edition is inspired by the busy harvest season when the barley for the whisky of the following year is harvested.

The good taste doesn't come by chance

For Lochlea whisky, only barley from its own cultivation and water from its own spring are used. The whisky matures 100% on-site and develops its own distinctive style in the mild climate of the Lowlands. It is not smoky. Look forward to a solid 46% ABV - as this ensures you an intense aroma profile.

The aromas of this whisky include sweet vanilla and creamy toffee candies from the bourbon cask. Dark fruit notes, intense spice aromas, and bitter oak tones are derived from the Oloroso sherry butt. Exciting forest fruit notes are gained through the use of port wine casks. Together, these aromas create a balanced flavor profile - especially after the whisky has matured a whole year longer than its predecessor from 2023.

Lochlea shows its color, as no artificial coloring was added - the intense hue came naturally through cask maturation. It was bottled in 2024.

The small farm distillery is a newcomer in the whisky scene but is considered a noteworthy insider tip among connoisseurs. One reason for this is the former Laphroaig Distillery Manager and now Lochlea Production Director and Master Blender, John Campbell. He embodies expertise, passion, and quality like few others.
