The main ingredient of this grain whiskey was three different types of grain, including Mahangu, a local millet variety. The smoky aroma in Ondjaba comes from the unusual drying method of the malt: Due to the lack of peat or wood, elephant dung is used. The whiskey was bottled at a respectable 46% ABV. This ensures the full-bodied character of this bottling. No caramel coloring was added. The beautiful hue occurred completely naturally.
