The Bowmore 12 years is produced in one of the oldest Scottish distilleries. The house style is known for its balance between fruitiness and smoky aromas. Depending on the spirit in the bottle, other nuances can still be discovered. Often, the typical salty taste, which immediately evokes a memory of rough salt marshes by the coast, is present. This is clearly noticeable in the Bowmore 12 years as well, as soon as the bottle is opened, this irresistible scent flows out.
The aroma is full of lemon scents and fine honey notes, the typical smoky flavor of Bowmore complements both for a pleasant impression. On the palate, the golden yellow whisky unfolds with completely different impressions, and it seems as if one has been deceived. The impressive thing about this whisky is that the taste is full of aromatic dark chocolate and is still accompanied by the smoky aroma. It could almost make it a bit heavy, but the sweetness of honey and the scent of lemon remain subtle. Overall, the Bowmore 12 years is as visually striking as it is a taste experience.
