This eighth edition of the cult drop is, as always, uncolored and non-chill filtered, but in this new release, it combines intensely peated malt whiskies from the islands of Islay and Skye with a Speyside single malt aged in heavily charred French oak barrels. Laphroaig and 'Williamson' contribute 16.4% for medicinal peat and dark fruitiness, Talisker with 48.1% for salty seaweed and smoke, and Benrinnes with 35.5% for clean structure and spice. Thus, an incredible spectrum of aromas emerges from a few, but complex components that will captivate you.
