In the far north, between the Isle of Skye and the Scottish mainland, lies the idyllic island of Raasay. Surrounded by the sea, the vast green landscape exudes a feeling of tranquility and balance, which is also reflected in the elegant design of this Hebridean Gin. The distillery that produced this well-balanced drop is the first legal distillery on the island and is called Raasay Distillery. The main business of the modern distillery is whisky - however, it takes some time to mature. The release of the first creation is planned for 2020. It is all the more delightful that the producers allow us to partake in this round Dry Gin and its qualitative potential already.

The Raasay Hebridean Gin is a Dry Gin, whose character is mainly shaped by typical botanicals. Juniper berries, coriander, angelica root, cubeb pepper, liquorice root, violet root, lemon and orange peels are not without reason among the standard flavor contributors of this versatile spirit. Together, they create a wonderfully balanced aroma profile, which also impresses in this gin. For the special touch, rhubarb root has been added, giving the gin a subtly bitter-herb direction - just as one would expect from a robust island dweller. With this citrusy, pleasantly bitter, and very round gin, the distillery wonderfully showcases its unique origin and style.
