Floral and fruity from bourbon casks
The Fettercairn 12 years aged entirely in former bourbon casks made of American oak. Initially, aromas of vanilla and pear combined with spices rise to the nose. The palate is surprised by flavors of nectarine, exotic fruits, and subtly by coffee and ginger. Coffee and raisins linger long after. With its 40.0% ABV, it belongs to the milder single malt whiskies and is also a high-quality enjoyment for whisky beginners.
Unique design
Even in the bottle design of Fettercairn, there is much love for detail. The ring on the bottle neck and the grooves in the bottle reflect the cooling ring on the neck of the still, which contributes to the external cooling of the distillate, and the flowing water. This process gives the copper stills a layer of blue-green and copper color elements, which have even been incorporated into the whisky's packaging. Not to forget its distinctive logo featuring the unicorn!
Traditional production process
The single malt whiskies from Fettercairn are fortunate to be produced in one of the most fertile regions in the northeast of Scotland. With the purest spring water from the Grampian Mountains paired with harvested barley from the Esk Valley and a unique production process, Fettercairn produces extraordinary and high-quality whiskies that delight whisky lovers.
