FRC Barbados & Jamaica

Aroma: Intense vanilla aroma paired with mild coconut. Exotic fruit notes reminiscent of passion fruit, papaya, and lychee. Butter cookies and banana bread meet subtle oak spice.

Taste: Here, the Jamaican influence is noticeable - full-bodied and powerful on the palate. A wealth of exotic fruit notes reminiscent of mango, passion fruit, and banana. Mild coconut milk enhances the creamy, full-bodied character. Mild spice notes come through, such as cinnamon with a hint of ginger powder.

Finish: Fruity and round with sweet dried fruit, whole milk chocolate, sweet vanilla with a touch of bitter almond aroma like in baking.

This high-quality rum brings together different worlds, creating a delicious new flavor composition. The heavy and aromatic rum from Jamaica meets the light and more classic rum from Barbados. The two styles complement each other beautifully to form a rounded overall picture. You will find plenty of exotic fruits, such as mango and passion fruit, as well as banana and coconut notes in the Barbados & Jamaica Premium Reserve. This fine rum has been aged for more than five years in a combination of American and European oak barrels. Here too, the two barrel types find a perfect way to harmonize. From the American oak, the rum draws beautiful sweet vanilla aromas, while the European oak adds pleasant spice accents. The clear distillates from both column stills and pot stills mature to perfection in different climates before being bottled by FRC. A delicious cuvée of two styles that together create a delightful connection.

Rum from the North? 

FRC comes from Flensburg - this may sound strange at first to some. But upon closer inspection, it makes perfect sense. As one of the most important Hanseatic cities in Europe, Flensburg was even known as the rum capital in the past. Through the crown colonies in the Caribbean, rum made its way to the now northern German port city and found its market there. Thanks to FRC, we can once again enjoy delicious rum imports from the northern city.
