The aroma of the amber-colored Bunnahabhain 12 Year Old is defined by its distinct saltiness, which can be explained by the distillery's location right on the coast. Neither chill filtration nor color adjustment with caramel affect the original taste of this wonderfully maritime Single Malt whisky! After a few moments, a malty sweetness develops, made even more interesting by beautiful wood notes. On the palate, one immediately notices a sweet base character, where nutty elements blend with a hint of peat and a touch of sea air. Thanks to the use of Spanish sherry casks during the maturation of this whisky, we get wonderful fruit aromas and nuttiness, while the ex-bourbon casks provide a robust portion of vanilla aromas. The long finish presents itself with pronounced freshness and fruity notes. A Scotch to linger over!

Bunnahabhain (Islė, Šiaurės pakrantė)

Bunnahabhain (tariama "Bunnahäven") yra įsikūrusi šiaurinėje rytinėje Islės salos pakrantėje, kuri garsėja savo stipriai durpėmis dūminiais viskiais. Tačiau Bunnahabhain yra išimtis, nes standartiniai Bunnahabhain viskiai yra beveik nedūminiai, todėl jie yra labai jūriniai, bet ne dūminiai. Distilerija mielai dirba su šeryje ir turi stiprų, vaisių ir jūrinį charakterį.
