The Auchentoshan American Oak whisky has a very harmonious taste that promises unmistakable enjoyment. Its bouquet reminds of nutmeg and cinnamon, both warm and very spicy scents. On the palate, the taste of chocolate, a bit of caramel, and a touch of apple join in. The entire composition conveys a pleasantly velvety mouthfeel that lingers in the finish, accompanied by the woody note of the oak casks and some spices.

The production of Auchentoshan American Oak Single Malt
Before the Auchentoshan American Oak matures in barrels made of American white oak and develops its characteristic aromas, a few classic ingredients are needed: Fresh and clear water from the Kilpatrick Hills and unpeated malt. However, it is not distilled in two pot stills as is customary in Scotland's whisky production, but in a third still called the Intermediate Still. This results in a higher alcohol content. It creates a particularly pure-tasting whisky that is milder in aromas.
