Aroma: An initial aroma of freshly cut hay is complemented by a fresh character of orchard fruits – green apples and pears with a hint of lime zest. Mild spices emerge, deepening from green tea to hazelnut and milk chocolate.
Taste: The initially sweet flavor coating, typical of Irish pot still distilling, is quickly complemented by a subtle note of hops and cocoa beans from the cask maturation.
Finish: Medium-long and sweet with milk chocolate and butter toffee.

Jameson Stout Edition Craft Beer Barrel Finish Caskmates Series (Liter) is a blended whiskey from Ireland. This Jameson whiskey underwent an unusual finish in stout beer casks. Jameson lent some of its casks to the Franciscan Well Brewery in Cork, allowing their top-fermented beer to absorb some of the fine Jameson flavor. After this brief visit to the brewery, the casks returned home full of malty stout aromas. They could now impart their newly acquired unusual flavors to the next generation of Jameson whiskey. A win-win situation for the brewery and Jameson, and especially for us curious whiskey explorers.
