Bushmills Original (liter)

Nosing: Sweet notes of fresh fruits and crème brûlée.

Palate: Full-bodied, fruity malt notes with vanilla and a light honey sweetness.

Finish: Medium-long with a hint of spice.

This Bushmills blend of Irish malt and grain whiskeys matured in sherry and oak casks, characterized by its fine sweetness carried by fruits and vanilla.

Bushmills White Label Original, an Irish single malt whiskey from the Bushmills distillery in Northern Ireland. Like all other whiskeys from Bushmills, it is triple distilled, resulting in a pure and noble taste. Distillation is, of course, only half the work needed for a perfect result. After production comes aging, which in this case has been done in selected oak casks. These casks impart their own color and, of course, their own aroma to the whiskey over the aging period.

The Bushmills Original in the 1-liter bottling is light and has a fresh aroma. The fruity scent is accompanied by a subtle toffee flavor. The additional aging in sherry casks has given the blend, made from malt and grain whiskeys, a fine sweetness. Thus, the taste impression is also complemented by chocolate, making the whiskey overall gentle.

The whiskey is light, sweet, not overwhelming, and well-suited as an aperitif. There is nothing against enjoying Bushmills Original in a cocktail or with still water.

Gamyklą rasite pačiame šiaurės šiaurės Airijos krašte, Antrim grafystėje, netoli Bush upės. Būtent iš čia ir kilo gamyklos pavadinimas 'Malūnas prie Bush upės'. Ji didžiuojasi esanti seniausia vis dar veikianti viskio gamykla. Tačiau šis teiginys nėra galutinai patvirtintas, ir yra ir kitų pretendentų į šį titulą. Vis dėlto, neabejotina, kad ji turi ilgą tradiciją, kuri, nepaisant pakilimų ir nuosmukių, išliko iki šių dienų.
