For the Pampero Aniversario, high-quality rums of different ages were blended together, allowing them to mature together in ex-whiskey and ex-sherry barrels. The spirit spent up to 4 years in these barrels before finding its way into the bulbous, voluminous bottles. This barrel aging is noticeable in the taste: powerful and complex, creamy vanilla, syrup, cream pudding, and brown sugar, along with a fruity variety of raisins, oranges, and dried fruits.
