Candied fruits with gentle smoke

Aroma: Persistent tobacco scent in an old sandalwood cigar box. Smoked haddock, aromatic notes of lemon oil, ginger, and a hint of menthol complete the picture.

Taste: Full-bodied and creamy. Orange slices dipped in dark chocolate and candied ginger are accompanied by caramel-like muscovado sugar, sweet dates, and sticky fruitcake. Sweet smoke and dried fruits remain subtly in the background.

Finish: Long, sweet, and rich. A finish with syrupy toffee and smoky, sweetened black tea.

Single malt from a distillery on the southern coast of Islay brings aromas of dried fruits and dark chocolate, while a distillery on the northern coast contributes notes of lemon oil and smoked haddock.

The new trilogy of Sherry Cask, Cask Edit, and Bourbon Cask is intended to form the core range of Elements of Islay. The whisky for the sherry cask bottles ages exclusively in first fill and refill sherry casks. Butts and hogsheads are used for this purpose. The Islay blended malt is bottled with natural color, non-chill filtered, and at an intense cask strength of 54.5% ABV. This allows the full personality of the whisky to shine through. 

Of course, the extremely popular and strictly limited single malt bottlings from Elements of Islay from all distilleries on the legendary island of Islay are still available. But you have to be quick, as these bottles are usually sold out in no time.
