The grains of paradise from West Africa belong to the ginger family and provide a spicy-peppery note, supported by the cloves. The iris roots and flowers used here come from Italy. The roots serve as a link between the individual aromas and add a certain freshness. The iris flowers give the gin its delicate blue tint. The juniper is not overshadowed by all these herbs and spices but is successfully integrated. The juniper berries of this French gin also come from France. Cassia from Southeast Asia and cinnamon from Sri Lanka provide sweet notes. Citrus freshness is offered by the orange peel from Mexico, which is full of aromatic oils. The natural orange oils are complemented and deepened by the coriander seeds, which come from North Africa, specifically Morocco. Liquorice from China not only provides sweetness but is also significantly more aromatic than pure sugar, with hints of liquorice and anise. Soap-like and intense, the Indian cardamom pods make their accents, just as the incomparable taste of Indian nutmeg from the Indonesian island of Seram resonates in this gin.
