The Extra Enjoyment of Speyside

Aroma: Over roasted grains lies a fresh scent of red currants, strawberries, as well as honey, toffee, and vanilla.

Taste: Dark chocolate, sweet plums, raisins, and a pleasant oak spiciness transition to nuts, caramel, a pinch of cinnamon, and a bit of ginger.

Finish: Long-lasting, sweet, and spicy. With bittersweet orange marmalade and sweetened coffee.

A very special taste awaits you with this Aberlour 12 Non Chill-Filtered, which is bottled without chill filtration (hence the addition 'Non Chill-Filtered'). Aberlour whisky has been appreciated for its consistently high quality for years. The first scent already hints at a soft and spicy Single Malt Whisky. Due to the non-filtered process, it has a more intense flavor compared to Aberlour 12 Double Cask. This Aberlour also matured in ex-bourbon casks made of American oak and sherry casks. It presents itself with the first sip as dark chocolatey, followed by ripe fruits, caramel, and is accompanied by sherry aroma. A long, sweet, and spicy finish crowns the enjoyment.

A special enjoyment

In contrast to the filtered Aberlour 12 Double Cask, the unfiltered Aberlour 12 has an alcohol content of 48% and is particularly popular among connoisseurs and gourmets. If you, as a whisky beginner, have some respect for the higher alcohol content, you can opt for the milder 12-year-old Aberlour Double Cask. The Aberlour 12 Non Chill-Filtered impresses with a spicy flavor that is complex and pleasant. If you occasionally do not want to enjoy it neat, you can dilute it with some still water at room temperature to find your personal taste. The Aberlour 12 Non Chill-Filtered has already received multiple awards, such as Double Gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2012 and a gold medal each in 2013, 2014, and 2015.

Origin and production

Speyside is a well-known and famous region in the Highlands for whisky production and is named after the River Spey. The beautiful Linn Falls river flows right past the Aberlour distillery. The bottle label features the water source of the distillery as a motif. Founded in 1879, the distillery generally works with four stills and has also distilled the Aberlour 12 Non Chill-Filtered in them. It then matured for a full 12 years in former bourbon and sherry casks, absorbing the high-quality aroma and flavor compounds of the wood and developing its distinctive taste.

Aberlour (Škotija, Speyside)

Nuo 1879 metų mažo Lour upelio slėnyje, kuris įteka į Spey, slepiasi Aberlour distilerija.
